It is located in the centre of the village of Hampsthwaite which lies 5 miles northwest of Harrogate spa town. It is at the gateway of the Yorkshire Dales and the Nidderdale way.
Winksey Cottage was the old Doctors Surgery and has been thoughtfully restored and modernised .
The village has a thriving pub, award winning coffee shop and well-equipped corner shop. It is on a bus route to Harrogate and the nearby town of Pateley Bridge.
